LPI capture

I set to capture individual .fits of Jupiter with my LPI, why, when stacked in Registax, the final image comes out green?
Will try again tonight using .tifs.

I think the LPI stores each of the channels in a different file when you select FITS with the LPI - I noticed the same thing with Linda's colour DSI when she saved as FITS - changing to TIFF should sort this out. You could also look into FITS3P - I think this is all the channels in one file but I'm not sure if other processing packages recognise this format - It might be a Meade thing.

Thanks Peter.
I ended up restacking the .fits today as a mono image and I was pleasantly suprised with the amount of detail. Colour would be nice though.

Did it save each of the three colour channels as FITS? ie is the a R,G and B file for each sub? If so you can re-combine to make a colour image.

Sounds like all too much trouble. I just won't save in that format anymore.
