We got on to a forum for this software, and apparently it is very, very problematic,I asked for help on this forum, and thank you to the two people that offered help, one user had very much similar problem.

We used his solution, but it didnt wok, does anyone know about ULEAD 11

If you have access to a Macintosh, it comes with iMovie software which is very easy to use and free with the Mac. I have used it for many video jobs and it works well.

Hope this helps.

Chris,

When and where does the Premier software freze? Before getting going further if we dont fix this it may cause other issues with other software you load.

The issue with changing software with Video/Photo editing is it disturbs the workflow. No doubt your son will have Source material from a camera, that he imports into the software and then does some editing and publishes it in some format as output material. I am no expert on Video editing, but have come accros and used various software i got for free with my various cameras.

There are wide variety of software to chose from and many you can get at good discounts if you are a Student. Also there is software you can get cheaper if you buy from US as compared to Australia.

Ulead , Pinnacle, Corel, Adobe, Sony Vegas, just to name a few. I woudl suggest you get him to review some video reviews on Youtube etc of actual people using these programs so he can see which he likes the feel of. There also online reviews to go over and see what you like the look and feel of, and get other amateurs opinions on what is good place to start. If he is serious about this for a future career path, then he should also consider what the Pro's use in the area he is interested in. Its better to learn and master the tool which is more widely used as it would help career development.

Adobe while having a large market share of the pros, does have

Fahim
