Astronomik EOS CLS Clip on filter.

Just ordered one of these LPR filters, clips onto the front of my 1000D, anyone used them, or got any opinions of Astronomik filters?

thanks

I have the Astronmoik EOS CLS CCD clip, works very well when it is actually dark. Under moon light or low light level conditions, it tends to give a blue cast to all images if not used properly, camera adjustments, etc. Have done 15 mins under dark skies with good results. I think it is a good filter.
I also have narrow band filters for my DSI Pro 2 and EFW from Astronomik and they are fine, too.

I had one a while ago and found it a lot easier to colour balance the images using a custom white balance in the camera. Get yourself an EF lens and shoot a daytime shot of a white sheet of paper under sunlight with the filter in. Protect that image on the card and set it as the custom white balance when imaging with the filter.
