Thumbs up New vendor on the market!

Hi guys.

There's a new vendor on the market, and this news will probably be of interest to those looking to buy a new telescope or accessories.

The shop is called My Astro Shop, and is being launched by Steve Massey, the well known amateur astronomer, astrophotographer and author.

He's selling SkyWatcher gear, made in the Synta factory in China. It's an alternative to the GSO brand offered by Bintel and Andrews.

Steve says that he tests everything before he lists it on the site, so you can be sure he won't sell stuff he hasn't used and recommends himself.

IceInSpace has no affiliation with MyAstroShop, but when a new vendor comes onto the (small) Australian market it's pretty big news so I felt it deserved a thread.

However because Steve is a member of the IceInSpace Forums (videoguy) and likes the IceInSpace Community and what we do here, he's said that IceInSpace members can receive discounts off the listed price of items simply by giving him a call or a PM.

I think it's great that there's some more competition in the Australian market, and when we recommend dobs to newbies, we can offer a choice of more than just two suppliers now.

Feel free to discuss with your thoughts.

Onya Steve

If your commitment to quality control is anything like your astropix ... the sky's the limit!!!!

Thanks for your recent help, too.

Got a copy of "the night sky" in front of me right now.
