Moon - Posidonus/Serpentine Ridge & Theophilus

Well, plugged the LPI into my new C9.25 last night for first light. Gee, it is much more difficult imaging at 2350mm and the SCT is more difficult to focus that the 918mm 4” refractor which simply “snaps” into focus.

The Moon was setting over our house and heat plumes from the kitchen were affecting the images.

Posidonus and Serpentine Ridge in Mare Serenitatis.
Theophilus, Cyrillus and Catherina

The images are a bit “pumped” as I’m not quite used to processing with the new set up.

Cheers

Dennis

Nice Dennis,

without the moon, we love it as we can look at dso's, with the moon, we love it as we can look at the moon.

without clouds, we love it cos we just do, with clouds, we love it cos we get to fiddle with the equipment.

without the sun, we love it cos it is nighttime, with the sun, we love it cos the intrepid sun spot hunters post great pics.

i tell you what, there is no weather condition that suits me doing work. No matter what, there is always something interesting being posted to the forum!
