after a copy of windows xp pro reasonable price please

phoned stores way too much

or links to web sites (in oz Preffered) much appreciated

Cheapest legal copy you're going to get is an OEM version at around $240.
Normally only sold with hard (CPU/motherboard or similar) but some suppliers will relax this requirement.

Check Ebay, there are some sellers clearing OEM copies. There are a couple of stores offering OEM copies for $115, I doubt that they would be fakes as it would be too easy for Microsoft to track them down being Australian dealers. This dealer offers a 30 day money back guarantee.
