Ed, still have not taken any shots yet in earnest. I got some basic shots out of it for Jupiter, but I need to look at the settings to get some good shots. I did notice though that the DSI does have a greater capacity for sharper shots though and I have recently seen a site where shots have been taken with the DSI and here is the site. If it does not come out as hyper text then just copy the address and paste into address bar.

This site has some of the best shots using the DSI that I have seen. So for a low end starting CCD it might be what you want. I plan on doing some tests with it soon, but some other things are in my way at the moment.
