Multiple Kill Vehicle Completes Hover Test

Wow! You have got to see this.

Reminds me of Mars Phoenix Lander and similar technology used for its descent landing?

Enjoy

What a great idea lets call it the "why bother" personally I think the bigger problem might be that a few nations hurling multiple warhead nuclear weapons at each other is going to make it hard to find follow up customers.

Stealth mode?

Hi Leinad,

Thanks for that -- a pretty interesting mechnism.

Mind you, I appreciate its intended use, but you sure wouldn't want to use it to sneak-up on anyone would you?

Does it have a "stealth mode" I wonder?

Best,

Les D

I find the technology behind this device fascinating. after that it becomes an indiscriminate killing machine.

I suppose these will replace landmines one day.

Although its immediate design is destructive in its purposes. It is astounding what use it could have for good intentions.

Seeing this video, makes me see how Lockheed Martin assisted the Phoenix team with rocket technology and ground radar in the descent to the red planet. the landing site shows a pretty smooth landing, no?

Would have been interesting to see this thing go against the other teams in the Lunar Xprize competition.
