Here's a selection of images taken last week on the 25/08 @ 4:30am AEST when I got my latest Mars shots.. unfortunately the seeing had deteriorated (4/10) by the time I got around to imaging the moon, but I got a few worthwhile shots out of it.
All shots taken with 10" dob on EQ platform, with a 3x barlow @ 3750mm FL, ToUcam Pro @ 10fps.
I had a tough time identifying some of the craters, scrawling through Virtual Moon Atlas trying to find them. My eyes hurt now.
1st shot:
Heraclitus and Licetus area in the lower left part of the image.
2nd shot:
Delambre crater, 54km diameter, on the south west edge of Mare Tranquillitatus (Sea of Tranquility)
3rd shot:
Abulfeda/Ritchey region. Abulfeda is the crater in the top left corner, the smaller craters in the centre are part of Abulfeda and Ritchey.
4th shot:
Werner and Aliacensis. Werner is the bottom of the 2 main craters in this image, 71km in diameter. Aliacensis is 82km diameter. This image is a mosaic of 2 shots.
5th shot:
Aristillus is the crater right and above centre in this image. Autolycus is above it, and the lava filled crater in the lower left is Cassini. They all reside in the north east area of Mare Imbrium. This image is a mosaic of 3 shots.
