Close Saturn and Venus

We have some planets close together at the moment and last night Saturn and Venus were 0.5 dg apart, with Mercury below, and Mars above. I had a look through thru scope to see Saturn and Venus in same field of view!! Quite impressive. Of course I took a few pics too, with camera on tripod On 15th and 16th Saturn will be close to Mercury at 1 dg separation.

Nice captures Liz, it was a lovely sight indeed.

Nice shots Liz! I just got a glimpse of them before clouds moved in. Will be better tonight so fingers crossed!

Nice shots Liz. My favorite is the second one. I just love the hues in the clouds!
I saw it last night and am going to watch again tonight to see the difference in movement.

Thanks for kind words all, tried to get out tonight also, but PLAGUED by mosquitoes so had to run for cover. Yes Dennis, that high cloud can be a menace, jet stream cloud, eh?
