Thanks mate, the sun has been so quiet lately I haven't even bothered cracking out the solar filter..

Will definitely have a look when the clouds go away

Might have to consider getting a corando PST in the near future, would like to take up solar astronomy. However, I am a little concerned about have a fatal mishap. That would be very bad.

a 2x will do fine me thinks

depending on what number of EPs you get: 9mm 15.. 25mm and 32mm would be good options

what i do is set everything up inside the house b4 i go out and check that ive covered up the finders scope
cuz ive done the little trick by having a look thru the finder to locate the old sol but bcuz ive covered it up inside no harm was done (thank the stars) felt rather stoopid as well
force of habit
