Paul - same here. My GPUSB didn't even get on the market. Once Chris heard I had the Orion, he bought it from me immediately.

Hi Guys,

Quite a few people have asked for this, and i havnt even said a price! Anyway I will ask the people in my PM box in order when I get the autoguider.

The item includes the optional 7 foot coiled guide cable. I will probably ask $65 plus $5 postage. Landed in Oz including cable, postage plus a few % exchange rate is around 100 AUD.

Thanks Geoff, yes, given the number of EQ6's GPUSB's are very popular items . I would keep it but once I have the Orion I cant think of any reason for keeping it, can anyone else?

Cheers

offtopic slightly : The orion auto-guider has an rj12 plug in the back, am i correct in thinking that it uses a straight cable from the rj12 to the mount, and a usb for power and data? or does the pc control guiding via a program like PHD and then send the data via USB to the camera, then the camera diverts the data through its onboard rj12?

I believe the latter, as its too small and cheap to have an onboard computer. So

Camera connects to laptop via USB. Camera has direct connect to guide port on mount. So no GPUSB required. Then guide program sends guide commands to mount via the camera.
