Hi Geoff,
your camera goes on the left platform and the eyepiece gets clamped into the back section. you can therefore hold your camera fixed next to the eyepiece and therefore takes shots thru the telescope and eyepiece.
Well, i am the bunny here , cos I have ordered this as well, as Matt from Telescopes and astronomy reckons that even if you unscrew the lens from a toucam and use the telescope eyepiece projector then your toucam will see at the same magnification (aprox) what your eye is seeing. Either way (the adapter to clamp the eyepiece or this one) I should be able to take video or photos at a magnification determined solely by the eyepiece. Depending on which is the best, i will then sell the other one to fellow forum members, freight free (I have heaps of prepaid airbags) after a report on which is the best afocal unit for toucams.
