Jupiter and the NEB outbreak from this morning (30th May)

Hi all

Here's an image from this morning in mostly average seeing, but this one was captured in slightly better conditions before they deteriorated again as fog then cloud brought the imaging to an end.

It shows the NEB outbreak at the CM.

12" newt, DMK21AU04, 30fps.

There may be another image coming later but this is likely to be the best of the session.

Nice work Mike. The weather's been very up and down the last week or so, but it looks pretty good across this coming weekend..

Hi Mike,

Yet another amazing planetary image you have made. They are truely incredible.

Excuse my ignorance- Im assuming the northern equatorial belt is the top one and that the outbreak is the linear whitish marking?? Probably wrong.

Hope you dont mind my asking.

Cheers
David

I'll second that Alex... what's worse is it looks like it will be at least another week before we see the sky again

Another spectacular image Mike. The weather is clearly treating you better than us poor souls in Brisbane.

Hi Mike.

I see in you picture there that you have the magnitude listed as -2.56. How do you measure the magnitude?

Thanks
