LPI with K3CCDTOOLS

Has anyone tried and had sucess with using K3CCDTOOLS and a Meade LPI as the video capture device? I think you need version 2 to do this.

Yes you need to get the latest version of v2 to support LPI.

You can use the autostar software, just save the results as bmp files and feed them into registax instead of using the auto processing in the autostar suite.

I tried an interesting thing the other night, Imported images directly from my LPI through PS7. It even throws up a lil java app... you even get various controls to capture the image... I never kept any as it was the night I did my moon mosaic recently. The resulting image wasn't too bad, although the colour had an unusual blue hue. I didn't play with it much at the time and had noticed it listed sometime ago in the "Import" menu of PS7

Another funny was the resulting image size, cant remember what it was off hand... but it was around the 356x 256 or something

Anyone else ever tried this

regards

Thanks guys, I have experimented with using the Autostar suite (this was all I had til a few days ago when I read about K3CCDTOOLS on this forum!) I guess I'm a bit of a fiddler when it comes to software stuff

Credit now included on the signature, thanks Robby
