A White Christmas

Hi Guys, well although it wasn't snow we managed a white Christmas in Ballarat and cracked it for a frost, yep even at this time of the year.

Just thought i would share that with you, and i bet Snake Valley just 20 minutes from here had it heavier.

Ken's probably frozen solid in his new obs/control room

Only 12 degrees up here at the moment so it's a bit fresh with the wind blowing as well.

Cheers

Houghy, here is the closest report I could get. It is from BOM.

It shows what the temp was on Christmas Day with a fairly strong southerly wind. No frost here, but we did have some sleet blow in with that cold wind.

Sorry guys no photo's but it did happen, i even scrapped the frost of one of the cars and made a snow ball sort of thing and promptly woke Alice with it, she was not impressed, so I do have a witness.

Wasn't there an area down in Vic last Xmas where they were burned by
bushfire and then a few days later it snowed?

Yup! the weather has gone haywire, it was a tad chilly up here over night
but no where near frosty, just lots of dew.

regards,CS
