Nice work Philip, all I seem to be able to see is a red blob. Did you use the diagonal as well?

hi phil ,
Yes i did use the diagonal . i prefocussed on the moon using the barlow and lpi then slewed the scope to mars, centred it using eyepieces without disturbing the focus and took the photos. admittedly they all show a red blob with a hint of a polar cap, see below, but when stacked and processed show a bit more. s
regards philip

Nice work phillip - however can you please crop the top image? The kb isn't a problem, but it's 1200 pixels wide.. please crop it, you only need like a 200x200 pixel image to fit mars there!

I keep wanting to get up early to tackle mars again, but the cold weather and sleepless nights with kids waking up, deters me again and again.

Good work Phil..I can see some detail there. In fact it would be really nice to see some more results streaming through it does still require getting up or staying up to ungodly hours at present. Who knows, someone in these forums might spot the early signs of a global dust storm delevoping!
