Smile First go at M!6 and 6" newt

Hi all again at IIS!!...
Well its been a pretty exciting week for me with the CWAS astrofest but having a clear sky the day after, who could resist setting up and doing some imaging!!!
Seeing was not bad so done some imaging with the newt!!!
Freezing cold like everywhere with a frost on the ground by 9.30pm and my observatory deck had a nice coating of ice as well!! Just the way my canon 300d likes it!!!
Thought I have a go at the eagle. I am quiet pleased in the final image although after pushing it there was still a bit of noise to remove!!
Some of the stars seem a bit of a odd shape due to my guiding and seeing but.

Details: 14 x 4 nin iso 800, DF removed and processed in PS. Done a slight deconvolution with Pixelinsight with the tourus wavelet but couldn`t push it much due to the noise!!!
Anyways its no Richardo but its not bad for a DSLR?
All comments about my processing etc most welcome!!
Image about 300ks in size..

Cheers and nice clear steady nights!!

Wow, great work, Gary! It almost looks 3-dimensional, with stars and other objects appearing "in front of" M6. Did you notice that, as well?

You've done a whacking good job there, mate!

Hi Gary, a very nice image, very detailed. The pillars show a lot of depth.

Well done

Hi Gary,
you've done a great job bringing out things on this hard to process object/ area.
You're colour and focus looks spot on and the contrast is very good across the whole fov....
Ice on the ground while your imaging, jeez Louise now that's what i call bloody cold!
The 300D in your hands does wonders I reckon....
Not to mention your great 6" Newt
Go the Newts....

All the best
Rich

Gary, lovely image. You’ve maintained exquisite detail with your processing routine. Data does not appear noisy. Well done!

Congrats on your CWAS efforts too. Well deserved.

A beautiful image. I particularly like the wide field setting, yet still retaining a large enough image scale so you can easily see all the detail in this very interesting region.

Great job.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments...
I think the neb is a bit on the pink side so might change the color balance slightly......
and thanks Jase about the CWAS award!!!
I didn`t really expect anything but happy to get a pic in the touring exhibition.

Everything went right for me during my imaging session, got focus right and guided fairly well. I don`t think I could ask much more from a canon 300D and a 6" newt.
now only if I can afford a ST11000k... and a big APO....
I can dream a little... have to work on that other half first...
Thanks again everyone....
