Yes I'm 43 now, time to get an eye test done, probably need glasses, my doctor wants to do some "routine tests" (pfft as if!
) but everything else is otherwise well in my world.
I DID get some astro pressies actually - main item being the complete 7 disk 20th anniversary edition of the Cosmos series on DVD, which was TOTALLY unexpected, but was probably the one thing I wanted more than anything else!
I also received the May edition of "Sky at Night" (UK mag) and yes that's the issue with Qld Astrofest listed as one of the top 10 Star parties worldwide. This mag also comes with a CD on the cover, havent had time to look at it yet.
(Apparently copies are on shelf now at the "bigger" newsagent at Kawana Shoppingworld, for other interested Suncoast locals).
I also scored a copy of the May edition of Astronomy Now mag (also a UK magazine) - this is the one with the great poster listing all Messier objects with images!!
There were other goodies, including cake, dinner, cake, candles and cake!
I must have been avery good boy the last 12 months is all I Can say!
