Ngc1433

This is an image of NGC1433 which is located on Horologium (it's the first time I have imaged a target in that constellation). It is a barred spiral galaxy with a double ring structure. It it known as Seyfert galaxy.

I really like the way the spiral arms come out of the second ring, and the detail in the bar in the core. I had some fairly good seeing for this image.

Image integration is 20.2 hours with 520 minutes in Lum. All data was taken at Swan Reach Imaging

A very big wow on this image Paul

The structures and colours are stunning and that nice creeping thread making its way down through the core. I'm wondering what that is? A little Ha presence perhaps or something else? Most interesting.

Great field star colours with uber-tight profiles.

Very nice indeed.

That's a super image Paul. I imagine the Milky Way would look just like this one.

Greg.

Nice result Peter,
looks like the collimation is perfect as you have crispy stars.
Wiki has some good pics - even a James Webb pic!
