FUNNY BUSINESS with postal votes

My wife and I have lodged postal votes in the past. Believing we did not need to apply again, we did not lodge fresh applications. Sure enough, I received an email ostensibly from the AEC acknowledging our application, and quoting an official receipt reference number. I thought it odd but not odd enough to be worried. Today I received an email Ostensibly from the AEC saying our vote had been received.

We never received a postal vote and never lodged one. We voted in person because or ballot papers never arrived.

I had a look at these emails and noticed that my middle Christian name was wrong - Morris, not Michael. But my email address and that of the AEC was right.

I just rang thev AEC who said there was no record of either email or of my postal vote.

It seems to me that someone has phished my postal vote info and perhaps also hacked AEC records.

Very strange.

.....my ballot paper was not signed by the AEC official making it invalid. I never picked up on it till I left. I returned and watched her. White males over 50'ish she was not signing them. I counted 6. I recorded her (on the sly) and reported her.
