I spent a lot of my younger years in the company of professional musicians. Many of whom played guitars. Every one of them offered to teach me to play yet over 40 years later I still can't play a note.
I was taking professional lessons learning to play a Hawaiian steel back guitar but it got stolen, along with several thousand dollars of other items in the house (break in while I was at work) and I never bothered again. Maybe had I had contents insurance but I didn't at the time.
It doesn't matter, I can't sing (without having heavy objects thrown at me (or anything at hand)) and if I started playing any musical instrument and started singing along someone would be quick to put me (or them) out of my misery.
