I am doing great.

Yesterday I had a phone call from an old friend who I had not spoken to in many years (17 approx) and as you do you ask about so and so how are they going etc...well most of them are dead and as I asked it was one after the other, some horrible deaths in there and some of these guys went at around fifty..most around sixty...it was so bad I stopped asking after about ten deaths...and realised I had covered everyone from the old days bar four and I am one of the four...bike accidents, cancer, suicide tragic stuff.

But when I put down the phone I thought again just how lucky I am to still be alive...and happy that everyone knows I don't go to weddings or funerals...not that everyone represents that many people these days.

And so it is just so important to make every day fantastic, not to grizzle or let pain annoy you, or to listen to folk who can only find fault with the world...I really think that being happy and content is the key to life.

Sadly, it's so easy to be negative these days, with all the bad news and happenings going on.

Alex,
It’s not until your in your 60’s you realise that you’ve lived a fair chunk of your life and when you grumble and grizzle about insignificant crap , you gotta kick yourself in the backside and say forget about that and get on with it. Each day is a bonus and a blessing
Inspiring and positive words of wisdom and encouragement my friend

Thanks for sharing

Good Health and Clear Skies !!

Best always
Martin

It is also very easy to ignore the crap...and remember news outlets don't go out looking for news about a new litter of kittens or how someone won the lottery.

A mate calls me wringing his hands about the sex slave traffic..mate look out the window and if you don't see any going on don't worry..things have never been so good I study history and can assure you my statement is true.

We only get one life and so every single second is precious and not to be wasted and you must guard your seconds and make the best use of them that you can...you don't need to worry about the economy, the war, the climate etc etc your concern counts for zip but it will take away valuable seconds..

So many make their living trading in fear and worry just pass them by.
.
