Four nights in a row

Hi All,

Well i don't know about others but we here in Ballarat have had four straight nights in a row with crystal clear skies, no wind, and hardly even dew, actually last night would have been the best, there was no dew at all.

But i think it might be finished as the clouds have rolled in this morning.

Just thought i would let you all know.

Cheers Leon

Four clearish nights here in Melbourne too. I say clearish because for three of them tranparency was poor with a dirty brown muck in the air evident looking toward the horizon

I did go out Thursday night for a drive with the scope, but fog decided to invade my observing spot early in the evening . Foiled again

Same out here Geoff.

The reason for all the dirty brown muck is that there has been back burning since good Friday in the Dandenongs and the Warburton ranges. Visibility in the Yarra Valley over easter was absolutely shocking. Anyone coming for a drive over easter wouldn't have seen any scenery at all and breathed in smoke filled air instead of fresh air!!

Glad it's clear up your way Leon
