Thanks to Damian Peach, I have sorted out a Jupiter that I am happy with this apparition.
I am getting used to the “seeing” appearing better than they are due to the increased frame rates.
Damian had suggested a long L channel and shorter RGB’s.
At the moment I am capturing 40s x 30fps = 1200 frames of L, and 30s x 15fps = 450 frames of RGB. I have 3 x 10 second pauses for filter changeover. This is 160 seconds. I think this is ok for my image scale.
My histogram for the L channel is above 200, but for the RGB, they are below 150. This should change once I get Astonomik filters. I also notice that the B filter is the best for focusing and the red seems the poorest transmitter of light???
I like it a lot, Dave. I used the LRGB technique on Friday morning too, and it definitely helped with the later avi's. It didn't work well for the earlier avi's, not sure if focus was out or low altitude stuffed it.
But it was great to have a full histogram at 30fps with the L channel, because my RGB was very dim.
