Never tested solar noon before so have attached photo of today.
Location Sydney Aus and magnetic offset of about 12.3 positive and solar noon at 11:54am today. Used the pergola pole which is very close to vertical on bubble level.
For those who do not know, you can find true south with this method during the day and the time does vary by 1 min every few days.
