This is more an exercise in noise reduction than anything else, I lost all the diffraction spikes and the stars look pretty bad now but in the end I could at least see that it was a galaxy..

I could only use 15 subs in the end, and this is the centre crop of those since there was a huge background gradient from the roof below it and a tree to the left.

15 x 90sec ISO 400
Same master darks, flats and bias from my other image that night.

That's a good effort Elliot, I can appreciate the difficulty in imaging in Melbourne at the moment, despite the new moon, skies just aren't dark and night's are warm.

Thanks - got to keep practicing while there's no cloud I guess. I have to pack up and put everything away each time so I'm still working out my process to get setup properly, on the grass in my backyard. I think I'll skip tonight though with this heat.
