Gabriela Mistral

Except for a few guiding hiccoughs I had a productive night last night. This is 25x180s subs for each of Ha, OIII and SII. While processing it I noticed there is still plenty of noise in OIII and SII so maybe I should treat it as a work in progress. Still not sure about the colours!

great job. I personally would have gone for a slightly darker background sky
to make the nebula pop.

You just can't beat the colours that result from narrow band (some can but not me).

A beautiful image.

Next work on the framing to 'balance' the subject (ie: move it a bit to the right!)

Well done Kevin

Hi Kevin
I looked when you posted this and typed a comment yet it is not here????

So...great image I love it...I hope one day to be able to do as good but I doubt that.

Looks great! How did you go about processing the image? I’m itching to go to the narrowband side and keen to see if most process in PI or what other options folks use.

Thanks Ben, Marc, Alex.

Ben, all processing (including calibration, registration and stacking) was done in PixInsight. I'm still learning as it's so complex and there is more than one way to do most things but there are plenty of resources on the Internet to help.

Cheers, Kevin
