Half chicken and chips

A partial Running Chicken and nuggets. I lied about the chips...

Captured at Yass, Australia 5-24 April, 2018 (Martin Pugh's lovely gear.)

Scope: Planewave CDK17 @ f/6.8 = 2939mm FL
Mount: Paramount ME
Camera: SBIG STXL-11002/AOX
Filters: Astrodon LRGB gen II, 3nm NB
Image scale: 0.63 arcsec/pixel (drizzled up)
Exposures: 14x1800s Ha, 14x1800s Oiii, 14x1800s Sii (21 hours)

It's very beautiful. I don't usually like the look of narrow band but this is quite spectacular.

Thanks, Kevin. I think this is one of those objects that has a nice balance of the NB wavelengths.

Thanks, JA! I resisted the temptation to eliminate the green and go for the more conventional gold/turquoise look. GTL has impact but loses a lot of the subtle colours.

Martin is pumping out some seriously nice data!
I've been playing around with a HaRGB version of this for a while and it definitely lends itself to narrowband over RGB. There are a lot of detailed areas that just appear washed out in the RGB version.
