Looking for oldest X on Moon illumination

I am looking for the oldest record of the First Quarter “X” on the Moon illumination that forms just to the dark side of the terminator, close to the first quarter moon phase, between craters Purbach, LaCaille and Blanchinus. (Co-long approx. 357-358) I’m trying to find the oldest photograph or drawing or observation log, etc. recording the reflection (whether intentional at the time or not).

The earliest photo that I have found so far, was taken by Lick Observatory, and was in The Times Moon Atlas from 1969. The actual picture was taken May 6, 1938. This “7-day” moon photo can still be purchased from Lick observatory, California, USA.

Anyone find anything older, please let me know...!

Thanks,

Dana T.
