Help with Filter Purchase

Hi all,

Finally saved up the money for my narrow band/broadband filter set for my STL-11000M Camera.
But I am completely confused by the filter sizes available.

I was looking at this set
Teleskop-Express Link
But I am a bit worried that this will not fit my filter wheel (The standard SBIG one)

Is this the right size for the carousel? If not could someone please point me to the appropriate sized ones on that site?

Thanks, once again, for everyone's help here.

The reason for my confusion is that the manual says that the filter wheel takes 48mm filters(mounted),
the filters on the above link are listed as 2" filters
48mm is equivalent to 1.9 inches.
The 2" BVR and UBVRI filter sets on SBIGs website is listed as having a "48mm threaded cell" so I think I'm looking at the right ones, but I just want to be certain as Teleskop-Express make no reference to 48mm cells.

On a side note, why do SBIG use mm and imperial screw heads?

Thanks again

Hey all,

I took the plunge and purchased the filters hoping they would fit the carousel. They arrived the other day and all fit perfectly. I now a a complete NB and BB filter set for my STL, needless to say I am very happy and very excited about getting out there and taking some photos... Fortunately I am taking 6 weeks holidays this Christmas as well.

I think you will be alright , filters like eyepieces are very 'Standard ' these days and I am sure the 48mm means the clear aperture is 48mm , the mounting will be the standard 2 inch (50.8mm) .
Enjoy .
Brian.
