There's something to be said for the old classic "tech-pan" aesthetic.

Totally agree Clive, as a past film astrophotgrapher, hypersensitising and cold camera user, images like this are quite nostalgic for me

While I would prefer to be known for awesome full colour high resolution print ready images of galaxies and galaxy clusters, I'll have to settle for "the tech-pan look" for now

Personally... I think the contemporary obsession with mega-pixels and colour is over rated.

I also really like the composition / choice of target - a breath of fresh air from the endless iterations of the same nebula done in narrow band and rendered with a jarring colour palette.

Maybe it is simply nostalgia for the days when I sloshed 4x5 sheets of tech pan in developing trays in the garage before sunrise.
