for "sale" meade starfinder eq mount **SOLD!**

1 meade starfinder equatorial mount. built like a tank.
has RA drive
umm... everything is in working order.

it doesnt have tube rings as such but straps. these straps are long enough for a 10 inch OTA and i have shortened them for a 8 inch so it will happily do either. it comes with a counterweight for a 10 inch newt and i'll throw in my 4x 2.5kg dumbell weight that i have been using for my scope.

this thing is pretty heavy and therefore i will not ship it, so its pick up only i am afraid....

I have just ordered a heq5

going for an unbelievable never to be repeated price of $0.00.
i'd like to see it go to the needy, but first come first served
*edit* condition of purchase: when the lucky person who gets this mount has finished with it they must pass it on for the same price (ie $0.00).*edit*
of course if you decide to hang on to it forever thats up to you
this is the same condition on which i recieved the mount.

pm me for more details or if you are interested

Wow Vingo! That's a wonderful gesture. Sure to make someone very happy. Hope it does go to the needy and not the greedy.

Ving - you ARE a legend. If it's still available, I'll humbly accept it...... The deal sounds great, and I'd pass it on when done. I need another mount for the 8" Newt, as I'm going to use the current one for Jenny and the refractor so that she can do a bit more on star nights. It just so happens that our current one's RA motor is crook (or maybe the controller, I can't diagnose it that well)..... which is OK because Jenny doesn't need to photograph anything. It just so happens, though, that her little eq mount is crook.

Can do still?

Cheers
Chris

Bargain - the tangent arm is worth the price by itself.

Cheers Ving

I plan to use it for a while and then will probably end up donating it to the MAS as a club scope mount. I just have to get another OTA for that little excercise. It'd be great to have something new members and the public can get to use on those public nights.
