Nice FOV and colour. The D810a does quite a nice job with the Ha emission too.

Very fine image, Ian. Agree with Mike and Colin.

We like the pairing with the more mature cluster, and the thick dust about the place.

Best,
M & T

Many thanks Atmos, StrongmanMike, Placidus, RiskS and Rhodney!
Colours and field may look fine, but this is just the centre of the heavily cropped frame.

I’m not sure how other users of the D810a handle the mismatch of the Nikon-F-type-connector and the D810’s full-size sensor (35.9mm x 24.0mm) that in my opinion is congenital (porthole-effect). I’d like to hear from others on this issue ...

What is the connector doing to your images in the wider field?

Hi Ian, nice Trifid!
I use my 810a at f5 and f3.6 on the back of the FSQ and see very little vignetting in the flats. Part of that is probably due to the very low profile Tak f mount camera adapter that goes straight to 2" and seems to allow a lot more through than other t-ring adapters I have.
Cheers,
Andrew.
