Meet Libby and Bella, our two new Bengal Kittens. Bella is the slightly darker coloured girl in the front. Bengals were originally bred from a cross between an Asian Jungle Leopard Cat and Siamese. They are extremely athletic and agile, highly intelligent and according to experts not suitable for first time cat owners. They need a lot of attention in the first few months to build a bond and are very independent and adventurous. Climbing, leaping off walls and swimming is normal behaviour.
These two are only 3 months old but a 1.5 meter cat gym is nothing to them.
Beautiful , I had one when I was in NZ , Whangarei and he got stolen one day when I was at work , be very weary there Brent there are lots of Rissoles out there .
Saddest thing is , is that these cats are very loyal and my poor 'Mootens' would have fretted something terrible after he was taken , peolpe have no bloody idea ??

Hmm, good point, I think I'll remove the lat\long coordinates off my signature. I never post face pix or address data on FB.
Gorgious, what lovely cats. Glad to see you have a pair, only getting one is not fair on the owner or the cat, with a pair they amuse each other instead of driving the owner crazy. I once had 5 Siamese and that was good fun, especially when they all decided to do a wall of death together, you had to duck for cover.
We've had Oriental Siamese for the last 17 years, also had 5 at one point. One old male, 2 young adults and two kittens. MOST entertaining! The old male ebony, Isaac, just used to adopt the kittnes and keep them safe. Beautiful gentleman of a cat
We decided on these guys for a change, cos they are reputed to be a step up in everything. So far it seems to be holding true and our other cats were very clever and affectionate.
12 months ago we took in a four year old Bengirl from the local cat rescue. She's settled in well and is totally different to my son's Himalayan but I'll swear she channels the spirits of our departed Aussie Mists.
They certainly have distinct personalities even at this young age. Bella is the adventurous one and is already up to sitting in your lap and coming for a stroke. Libby is still shy but wants to be close.
They are now both released within the house, out of their first day room and exploring everything from top to bottom. I'm still amazed at some of the leaps they attempt, seem to have no fear of falling or heights.
All good so far..
I hope like hell they are desexed and kept inside. Better for them, better for environment. Cats slaughter hundreds of millions of native animals every year.

Hmm, another cat lover.
They are desexed, they will not be kept inside for ever, we've had cats for years and other than the occasional sparrow or starling no native birds have been harmed during their various ( 7 ) lives with us. Or animals either.
On the other hand our last cat, Koko killed his last rat only a week before we had to have him put down at age 15. He lined up 3 in a row one morning for me to inspect. On my laptop case ! His life kill on rats would be well into the several hundreds, his bird kill, about 2. Neither were natives.
Did you know rats kill a lot more native birds than cats do ? They get into the nests and destroy the eggs before they even hatch. Those and stoats, weasels, ferrets. Dogs kill kiwis, and sheep, and attack children too. Shall we keep all dogs inside ?
There is a risk in everything and it's up to good owners to manage their pets as well as they can. We like to think we do our best to protect both our pets and our environment.
The markings are becoming darker and more defined as they grow. I'll post some pix this weekend. Grown heaps already in 2 weeks, they eat like little horses.
