The Witch Reprocessed

Had another attempt to pull the detail out of the witches head data from 2 weeks ago and am more happy with the final result.
12 x 600 seconds, no filter under fairly dark skies at Wiruna.
Hope you all like it.
Bruce.

Lovely, Bruce. You've quietened down the red stars which were a bit
overpowering before[ for my taste]. Main forum material.

Still a bit of an overly blue cast to the image but great detail Bruce.

Beautiful shot Bruce, definitely a poster size print to hang up in the hallway. As blue is my favorite colour I don't mind that small blue cast on the right edge.

I also agree with Raymo it is good enough to go into the main deep space forum, however recently given the awesome images over there, I think the entry fee is 10 hours worth of data.

Cheers
Bill

Thanks all for the encouragment fellas, although I still think along the same lines as Bill - 2 hours aint enough for exposing one's self in the deep space area.
I know it's still on the blue side Cam - I had trouble trying to get a neutral background and now realise, looking at the NASA shot taken by the UK Schmidt telescope and then digitised for the SCScl Digitised Sky Survey, the backgound sky is all kinds of colours in that area - browns and blues and everything in between. I opted to clip the blacks slightly to hide the sky colours and bump the contrast so the nebula popped.
All in all I am pleased with the final result as its the hardest subject I have set for myself to date. No doubt a few more hours would make all the difference though.
Cheers,
Bruce.

Thanks Willik and Jo,
I have to admit it is the favorite of my images so far. Helps when the sky is relatively dark.
Cheers,
Bruce.
