Well, this wasn't my first - I've lost that, and from memory it was a blurry handheld pic from a point and shoot digital camera held to the eyepiece of my Newt pointing at Jupiter - bright spot with some blurry moons.
But, the first picture of mine that had me hooked was this one - taken with my 450D at prime focus, no corrector - hat held over the OTA at start and end of exposure when starting/stopping. Just about fell over and fainted when saw this on the viewfinder

Took a few at 300sec and this was the only one without excess smearing.
