I've Just bought EddieT's Mk2 5D and was having a play outside in poor weather just chasing gaps in the cloud to make a test star trails image.
I thought I'd share it as I 'm quite pleased with the result - plenty going on with a street light, clouds on two levels and a random composition due to my just placing the camera outside on a mini tripod pointing in whatever direction.
I think it sometimes pays to not worry at all and just shoot
Looking forward to a real sky...
