Karalee Summit

Hi all,

A shot from a recent astro trip out to the Goldfields of WA where I shot that cloudy "Nebulous" pic also. My last trip before my first child is due to be born

This one has turned out quite nice, I wish I had the spare $$$$ to print it and have it mounted behind acrylic on aluminium It's got beautiful luminosity, sharpness and saturation to really make that type of mounting work.

Two exposures: Canon 6D@6400ISO, 30s F/2, 24mm.

Roger.

That's very nice Roger.

Would you consider cloning out the pole and wires above the obelisk?

Hope all goes well with your impending arrival.

Thanks David.

I wouldn't consider cloning out the wires - in this case they're part of the site, a key part being on the top of the cairn, I like the picture to be accurate in this case.

Thanks both

Peter it's the shortage of time I'm more concerned about - but yes, there won't be much opportunity to buy astro gear for a bit. All in all, looking at a bit o a downturn in my astronomy economy

Great image Roger, how much would that sort of mounting cost you?

Hope all goes smoothly with the birth too

Thanks both.

Mike I don't have an exact estimate but based on other sizes I've had quoted (panno's) I'd expect a 1m acrylic print of this to be ~$500 and a aluminium mounted print to be $290.

Nice, very nice.

Office Works, if you have one near you, could print to canvas of a decent size for reasonable pricing. Have seen a sample and it looks pretty good.
