Ant, I agree with Russell, I doubt you're going to find a scope like that that the owner is willing to transport.
If the director wants a scope that looks like that and you're never going to see the lens or any details close up I think your best bet would be to get props to build one from a bit of pipe. They could buy a really cheap refractor and butcher it for the focuser and some little details.
Then you could see if anyone here is willing to loan you a mount, something like an EQ6 looks pretty chunky and they're fairly common. (

If you used a diameter of tube/pipe that is also used for real telescopes, like 200mm then perhaps you could see if anyone (hopefully the same person who loans you the mount) is willing to loan you some tube rings so you can mount your frankenscope.
