Southern Skies

A nostalgic shot that I reprocessed. Taken from Wiruna during my last visit earlier this year. Canon 7D and a Tokina 11-16mm lens. There was a bit of murk around at the time.

A lovely shot John.

I'll bet you are missing those views.

Lovely shot John

How long was your exposure and what focal ratio did you use to keep the coma under control?

Thanks Dunk

This was a 180 second exposure at F2.8 (fully open) at ISO 800.
The Tokina lens is pretty sharp. The little bit of coma at the edges can be softened by adding a bit of barrel distortion in PS to squash it back onto shape (only a little bit is required)
