Kings Tableland

Well, it's been a while for me shooting panos, i've been concentrating on building up my camera dolly system and shooting timelapses. That is going fantastically, but I longed for some pano nightscapes.

I finally got up the will to leave home about 11:30pm on Friday night for my fav spot in the mountains, Kings Tableland, just before Wentworth Falls.
It had been raining that day in Sydney, and snowing in Katoomba and beyond, and we had had 2 days of cloud, so I was very surprised to get a crystal clear night.

Usual stats;
Canon 6D
Samyang 14mm
f2.8
25 seconds
ISO 6400
Vertical shots, about 12 or so each pano, in a single row.

Hi Andrew, I live in the upper mountains and have been to this spot many times but haven't seen it from this perspective, thanks for the view.

Great shots. 14mm lens - I want one! Were there any issues stitching the frames together at 14mm?

I can't speak highly enough of the Samyang Ultra Wide on full frame, it is just spectacular.

Well I did have stitching issues actually, but Photoshop Photomerge stitched them without any complaint, which surprised me.
The issue with stitching was that I didn't take a horizontal row of shots first, I was facing the camera up maybe 30 degrees.
That is where you get yourself into trouble usually, where a two row pano would stitch easier.
