RIP - James Garner

Those of us on IIS that may be old enough to remember him, and that would be 99%, may be sad to hear that James Garner had died age 86. He was best known for The Rockford Files and the movie Maverick with Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson.

Sad to hear.

James Garner driving the car in the movie Grand Prix in 1966. No "blue screens" here -

The Rockford Files was one of my favourite TV series when I was a kid and must mention the movie The Great Escape.

Oh sad news indeed !
One of my favourites, he was a great actor.
Loved him in "The Rockford Files" as I was growing up, in fact got the theme as my ringtone.
I enjoyed all his movies too.

RIP "Jimbo"

Sad news
Support Your Local Sherrif was my favourite of his work, a very silly movie but the deadpan humour just seemed so natural for him.

Sad news. Yes the Rockford Files was my favourite. Created by Stephen Cannell who created so many TV shows we'd all be familiar with.

Sad news indeed, I believe that he was also the co-star of the original Maverick television series from the sixties.
Support Your Local Sherrif was a very fun filled movie, not deep but thoroughly enjoyable . RIP
