Question orion mini guide cg5 mount

Hey everyone.. I am wondering about the Orion mini guide auto guide system... does anyone know how it hooks up to your pc and mount....
I was under the impression that I go from pc to guide cam then from that to guide port on mount.. but not to sure ..
Also the specs say that it is only good for focal length less than1500mm..but the c8 is
2000mm...would a focal reducer fix this ...

Thanks in advance

The C8 focal reducer will take it down to 1280mm, so yes, it will then come within spec.
