Doing the good parent thing...
Just back from visiting our daughter in Melbourne.
(She is a performing poet, and had a gig on in the city we decided to catch, even though my wife and poetry are planets apart)
She has recently moved into a nice town house in East Hawthorn.
Nice area!
Anyway, I went for a stroll around the area the other day, and something caught my eye...
a telescope in shop front window, WOW!...
But wait, there is a second...
OMG its Bintel!!!
I can't believe it...
My daughter has been living here for 6 months,
and she doesn't tell me she is a block and a half away from a Bintel store!
I reprimand her accordingly...
but follow up with she can expect more frequent parental visitations in the future.
The poetry gig was good too, it was space based, and featured some astro stories and themes, as well as my surprise Bintel discovery. (A double whammy for my wife who says astronomy leaves her cold too!
