New Images, 100 Years Ago

Hi Guys,

You may remember that recently i posted a image from a 5x7 glass plate that was taken some 100 years ago, well i have a couple more to show you.
There will be about thirty to process as time goes on, and i'll post them as i do them.
First i make a contact print through regular developing chemicals, then scan that image and try to enhance it through Photo Shop.

No 1. is of a train crash
No 2. seems to be some sort of machinery workshop.

Leon

Leon. Simply love the guy 'floating down with the 'brella'. Wonder if he was 'naked' att because of his 'modesty sign'?
Those old workshops were so noisy too, with all the leather belts slapping around on the pulleys. Nice pic.
The train wreck is great as well. "Ya just hafta see this fellas, yas won't believe what old blind Bill just did"!

Great pics, it looks like the train didn't stop at the buffers.

Most intriguing, Leon, particularly the 'workshop' one. What on Earth was going on, I wonder. A dummy with sign and brolly hoisted high and what look to be signal flags/pennants hung towards the rear (any nautical types here?), plus I've been trying to work out what all the tree branches are doing there - if they are in fact bits of trees.

Super stuff. Thanks for posting them.

Classic pictures Leon.
