Help with Autosuite 5.5 and Pk-tether

Hi everyone
Just received a laptop from a friend. I have installed all the required programs but i get a message when opening some programs
" .net framework initialisation error" "unable to find a version of runtime to run this application" The related program doesn't open.
I have installed Autostar suite it did install .net framework 4 client profile and .net framework extended during the installation process
I also have .net framework 1.1 listed.

Any suggestions?
Paul.

Paul, I'm assuming this is Win7 or Win8. Even though it installed .NET4, check in "Programs and Features" -> "Turn Windows features on or off" if "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1" is enabled. This provides the backward compatibility for all the versions of framework supported on Win7/8. It's amazing the number of things that require it. You shouldn't need the HTTP bits hidden by the +.

Also I'd recommend running M$ update because .NET4 has had recent patches.

Lastly, installing old versions of framework on Win7/8 is a no-no, except maybe 1.1. It usually takes a repair to fix things. eg http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/downl....aspx?id=30135
