LX 90 Park Problem

G,day, I have a LX90 12" permanently mounted on a equatorial wedge on a pier in my observatory. This has been set up this way without any problems for about 2.5 years. However over the past couple of weeks the scope when asked to park continues past its park /home position, on one occasion it rotated 540degrees before I stopped it! The Goto once alignment done seems pretty good, and It has park correctly once so far out of approx 5 occasions. Has anyone had this problem, and if so can it be fixed, thanks in advance for any advise, clear skies.
