EQ2 RA Drive?

I've just found myself an EQ2 mount which I *think* is a Saxon. I want to put an RA Drive kit on it but I prefer the Skywatcher handset, anyone know are they similar enough that the Skywatcher kit will fit?

Thanks.

Yes , they are all basically the same and it will fit ok , I put one on an old T11 Tasco EQ2 mount and it fitted and worked very well .

No worries , these are a good little mount that will hold up to a 100mm f5 refractor quite well and with a RA drive a pleasure to use .
You gonna post a few photos of it ? .

I'm going to use it for 'wide angle' DSLR photography from 17mm focal length (hopefully) up to 300mm and also use the slow rotation for timelapse. Using the North/South selector to change the panning direction and the latitude for horizontal panning.

Hopefully I'll have all the pieces in the mail by the end if the week and I'll post some photos of the complete setup then

It will be perfect for this .
Did you realise that these EQ2 mounts can be adjusted to 90 degrees on the RA altitude , thus becoming an Alt/Az type mount , like the older Vixen Polaris mounts can , a great feature .

I'm still waiting on the motor but this is the rig at it's first test run.

Saxon EQ2 with a 5kg rated ball head mount on top. Canon 550D with Magic Lantern using the inbuilt intervalometer for timelapse.

I don't have a computer capable of processing the timelapse at the moment as I've just moved house but the results of the test run should be up next week
