G'day and welcome to IIS HyPer7. Saturn is a magical sight for sure . Good to have someone kind enough to lend you a telescope to enjoy the wonders above. Don't hesitate to ask questions in here, there is a lot of knowledge amongst the members in here.

Another pedant attack!

It's 73 and/or 88, HyPer7. I take it you're not a CW man.

73 de VK2IUI (ex VK2VPG, VK2BZB, VK2FG).

P.S.

A few fond memories of South West Rocks. What a beautiful place (or it was 40 years ago when I last visited). I truly hope that development hasn't ruined it as it has so many other coastal towns.

HYper 7 hope you enjoy your foray into astronomy and to see more of your posts on IIS, I hope that I dot't seem padantic in saying that you can only see four Jovian moons, in only the very largest of amateur telescopes can you see any of the other Jupiters moons, but in seeing the moons you did gives you an idea what Galilao saw all those years ago.

Dujon: just an old 27Mhz CB man, from way back when...
As for SWR, its not the sleepy fishing village it once was, It grown considerablry, we now have IGA, Bilo and LiquorLand (where I work), a superb 18 hole Golf Course, a new Country Club, a Tavern on the riverside and still got the Seabreeze pub (formely the Federal). all in all tho still a nice place

Astroron: Ok, I will have another look to see if the fifth one (I thought was a moon) tracks with Her, or was just a background star.

Cheers Ppl

In that case you are forgiven.

I hope for your sake that they don't start playing night golf.

Whatever, welcome to the community whose members when asked to 'look at that view' automatically look upwards.
